What Can I Expect During My First Visit to a Chiropractor?
On your first visit to our office, you can expect to be
greeted by a friendly and caring staff.
As a new patient you will complete a full medical history and
paperwork. After a tour of our office,
you will consult with the doctor. This
consultation is your opportunity to express your health concerns and
expectations and to ask any questions you may have about Chiropractic
care. Also, the doctor will express his
role in your health care and discuss your health prognosis. A physical exam will be performed which may
include orthopedic testing, reflex assessments, muscle testing, and a detailed
postural evaluation. In some cases x-rays may be necessary to determine an
exact diagnosis and will be taken and developed within our own office. In your report of findings, your Chiropractor
will go over the results of the exam and x-rays with you. Then, depending on
individual situations, the doctor may give you an adjustment or begin rehabilitation
if needed. Depending on your condition
and prognosis, your Chiropractor may schedule a series of visits for care.
